I bought my son a ticket i made it non refundable so he could not return it he missed his 1 st bus so i called they said when he left he could change ticket for a 15.00 dollar fee when he leaves so a couple days later my son was gonna leave on the last bus leaving modesto ca to wichita kansas and a couple hours before he got arrested this is the whole reason i bought him a ticket was trying to help my 18 year old son change his life.

Well i call them they state it was non refundable and has to be used or picked up by my son by the 14th of october.which was impossible my son was in jail he could in no way pick up or use the ticket.so i ask them so i lose the money and you will not reissue a ticket when he gets out and they said yes more or less that i was screwed out of the 226.oo dollars i spent on that ticket.

So more or less greyhound uses things like this to steal people money which i have very little of.I know they have struggled to make their company profitable but having a valid way of stealing peoples money is still wrong it is still stealing in my opinion.

I WILL NEVER USE GREY HOUND AGAIN IN THE REST OF MY LIFE TIME I WILL ALSO PASS THAT DOWN TO MY CHILDREN AND MY CHILDRENS CHILDREN GREYHOUND ARE THEIFS NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALL IT THEY FOUND A LEGAL WAY TO STEAL FROM THE POOR.BECAUSE IF WE WERE'NT POOR WE WOULDNT BE USING GREY HOUND.

Monetary Loss: $226.

Location: Wichita, Kansas

JUST SAY THE WORD NO IF YOU ARE APPROACHED BY A PERSON IN ANY GREYHOUND TERMINAL AND THEY ASK YOU IF THEY CAN BORROW YOUR CELL PHONE EVEN IF THEY SAY AND ACT LIKE IT IS AN EMERGENCY SAY NO, BECAUSE AS SOON AS YOU UNLOCK THE PHONE AND HAND IT TO THEM THEY WILL RUN AWAY OUT OF THE BUS TERMINAL AND YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR PHONE AGAIN. NOT ONE PERSON AT GREYHOUND WILL OFFER TO HELP YOU EITHER AND THE SECURITY AND POLICE LOOK THE OTHER WAY.

WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. GREYHOUND DOES NOT PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT IN THEIR TERMINALS WHILE PASSENGERS WAIT SOMETIMES FOR HOURS FOR A CONNECTING BUS TO ARRIVE.

On April 27,2012 I made a reservation with Greyhound after hours of research to find the best way to help my Son move to Tennessee for college and I regret my decision to this day and will never use or recommend Greyhound to anyone, because of the horrible experience then and now for my Son and me. I wish I had just spent the extra money, so that he would have had a nice safe trip.

We arrived early after midnight on May 4, 2012, to the Carrollton, TX bus station (Name is Busy Bee)We waited for over an hour for the bus.

During our wait time, I called and spoke with customer service two times before 2:00 AM on May 4 to find out when the bus would be there and neither one of the representatives could give me an answer. At approximately 2:00 AM the bus finally arrived and the bus driver told us that he was full up and that my Son did not have a seat even though we paid for the reservation. I tried 3 times to reach your customer service again and they did not answer. I had to drive my vehicle a total of 7 miles from my home to the Carrollton, TX bus stations and then a total of 55 miles from the Carrollton, TX station to down town Dallas, TX and back home to Carrollton, TX in the middle of the night by myself with no money and no gas, so my that my Son could make the connection in Dallas, TX and leave on the Dallas, TX bus for Nashville, TN.

I sent a USPS return receipt letter with a letter similiar to this post to Greyhounnd asking for a refund for the trip from Carrollton to Dallas and they received the letter on June 16, 2012.

I have been calling for over a week with hold times longer than 2 hours and called every other number I can find to get someone to help me and not one *** at Greyhound knows what to do and they don't really care. They are crimninal and they should be closed down for the way they treat customers.

You don't HAVE to buy a non-refundable ticket, there are refundable fares which is the original cost of a ticket but you can refund it, but with a 20% cancellation fee or you can get the cheaper fare which would be non-refundable. Your personal problems is not greyhound's problem to solve, passengers are responsible for catching their buses, not the other way around.

Greyhound is there for your travel convenience, it'll take you to your destination, the cost of your ride depends on the date of departure and/or total mileage of your trip. It's about as much as you'd pay for gas if you were to travel by car.

Simple and easy, you're just paying someone else to drive you. Happy Holidays!!!

This company sucks they always pass the buck why do you have to buy a non refundable ticket it should just be refundable if they don't meet there service standards which they rarely meet you don't have to pay extra for refundable milk if it's bad you just return it get with the program greyhound

When you buy a nonrefundable Greyhound ticket. The ticket agent tells you that it's a no refund ticket that's why they call it nonrefundable ticket. So if that happened to your son you could send it to the headquarters in Dallas,TX and you tell them what happen and maybe they will send you back your money it might take 4 to 6 weeks to get your money but you will get it....
