Greyhound in Manhattan, New York - Why so nasty!!! i care about my kids

i purchased a online bus ticket from Detroit to atl. To make it more easier for my self i brung no bags just a snack bag for me and my one year old son. It was plenty of room on the bus it was just dirty and on organized all the way down the ale it was one person to a seat. Except for the front and the way back i didn't want my son by no sticky bathroom for 18hrs so i choose to sit in the front. The bus driver told me no which i understand no kids in the front. I feel as if he could have asked if anyone wants to sit in the front instead of me and my son sitting in the back smelling this foul smell. On top of it all the back seats was falling off i had to hold my son because someone ripped the seat belts off so metal was poking my one year old. Im pissed and i took pictures aswell. .

Greyhound in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Delayed bus, made to wait outside

My son was supposed to leave on a bus from Norristown Pa to State College PA at 5:05 pm. Finally at 6:15 the station "manager" told them the bus had broken down and they would have to wait for another. Then this "manager" proceeded to kick everyone out because it was time for him to close! They waited outside until 7:10 when the new bus showed up. My son was supposed to connect on another bus in Harrisburg PA on the way to State College. He was assured this bus would wait for them. It did not and my son was stuck in Harrisburg overnight. This is not the first time we have had problems with Greyhound. Worst part is they really, really don't care. Probably the worst, most apathetic company I've ever dealt with.

WAITED 2 HRS IN FREEZING NIGHT, BUS NEVER CAME, GREYHOUND WON'T REFUND TICKET

I waited for 2 hours in the freezing cold in Sicamous BC, waiting a bus that never arrived. The bus was cancelled with NO notification, via email, online OR at the local office. Greyhound customer service refused to refund my ticket, without a reason, simply saying "I cannot do that for you unfortunately" and asking me to email the refund department, which never replied. I asked to speak to an agent from the refund department and was denied. The customer service rep's response was "there is no one at the refund department you can speak to." The most terrible experience I've had with any transport company.

Greyhound in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Lost bag and rude operstors

My son paid for a bus ticket from Roseburg Oregon to Oklahoma City Oklahoma to visit him and my new grand son. I left March 6th and somewhere after Amarillo Texas my bag went missing. About 3 years ago my house burned down and I have been living out of that bag ever since. I have had to spend all the money I had left to buy a couple new outfits and on transportation back and forth to the bus depot. I was told to pick up a claim form and have the manager at the Oklahoma city location help me fill it out and mail it in. When I talked to him however, he was rude and hurtful and said it wasn't his job to do that. During the trip the bus broke down and we were stuck for 7+ hrs waiting for a new bus and a new driver. In the mean time I had to pay for extra food. When I asked for help getting back to Oregon I was med with more rude operators whom said they didn't help with that either. Greyhound is an awful way to travel as it is with out all the difficulties of losing luggage, buses breaking down, overworked drivers and dealing with rude customer service agents. Something needs to be done!!!

Greyhound in Portland, Oregon - Cancelled South Bound Route- NO Notification

On Feb 19, 2013, the South Bound Greyhound was "cancelled." There was no notification, no emails, no texts, no phone calls, nothing. There wasn't even A SIGN posted at the terminal and no attendant. (Found out from another rider. Have no idea how he found out.) Called the normal Greyhound number, but no one available. Called the 800 number but it did not list that route as cancelled in their automated system. Zero information. I don't understand how you can cancel a route, one that people have purchased tickets for, and not have some system to notify them. I am assuming some announcement was made at the terminal earlier. But for those who arrived after that announcement (if there was one) there was nothing. Spent most of the night trying to find alternative means of transportation. T

Greyhound in Toronto, Ontario - Round Trip Ticket Trouble

I bought a round trip bus ticket online so I could go home for a visit this weekend. A few hours before I was about to catch the bus back this evening I realized the bus driver kept my return ticket when I boarded to come here. Now if he was doing his job he should have told me to keep my ticket for the return but he seemed rushed so he quickly looked at my ticket/ID and I got on the bus. I called customer service to tell them what happended and asked if they could just email me the ticket again but they said they couldn't and inisted I would have to buy brand new ticket to get back.Even though I had email proof of purchase and a reference number but they didn't care. I told the guy at the bus station in my hometown what happended and he sold me a ticket at half price to get back but I still feel I shouldn't have paid anything. I was given a phone number to call but it's Sunday night now and they are only open between 9-5 Monday to Friday. I plan on calling first thin tomorrow and am hoping they give me some sort of credit or I plan on taking further action via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instgram.

Greyhound in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Driver with no clue where he is going

On 2/3/13 I boarded a Greyhound bus in Houston, TX headed for Texarkana, AR, About half way through the drive, the bus driver got on the microphone and notified us that Greyhound had provided him with "sh**ty" directions and he had no idea where he was going. At this point he was stopped in the middle of the interstate, not on the shoulder literally in the middle of the right hand lane as cars were flying by. He then proceeded to ask passengers for directions over the microphone. We ended up getting lost for two and a half hours. Almost everyone on the bus missed their next bus. I actually got the terminal on the phone that we were supposed to be headed to.He refused to talk to them, and attempted to kick me off the bus for calling them. the terminal eventually got him on the phone and sent out a chase car for us to follow to the terminal. The terminal we arrived at closed at 10PM so I called customer service to figure out where we were supposed to go for the night since the next bus wasn't coming until 2PM the next day. I was told that customer service was not opened on the weekends and that we were on our own until the next day. They weren't gonig to get us to a hotel, call a cab for us or do anything to help us out at all. I have never been treated so poorly by any place of business, and will never do business with Greyhound again.
