Greyhound in Orlando, Florida - Rudeness of Drivers during boarding and unboarding
My initial boarding in Ocala, Floida was fine. When I had to transfer in Gainesville to go to Atlanta, the driver took my ticket book and did not return the rest for my reboarding in Atlanta to London Ky. HE was engaged in a situation with a passenger. When we reached Atlanta, I asked him for my ticket back. He was rude and said he did'nt have it. I was forced to pay for a re-issue boarding pass. He was extemely rude to other passengers traveling also. he refused to let 1 young man board because he had his tickets in his pocket and were a little wrinkled, he had been traveling from the West Coast and had tranferred several times, he was combative with the young man. A young girl had some issue with her ticket and was told she needed to FIX it. i had to give her a few dollars so she could FIX it. she was on her way to Miami, her brother had made her arrangements and had forgootten to do simething. She was in tears for the way this driver treated her. I had a female driver that was just as Rude with the passengers. Is this the way you want your drivers to be? I would think not . I'm sure some people are difficult, but it no reason for these drivers not to be at least somewhat courteous overall. I used to like traveling by bus, but if this is any example of the type of treatment your customers are receiving I will not be riding again. My mother had passed away in Kentucky and that was my reason for traveling. it cost me $300.00 before it was over. And it was a very stressfull experience. I am 67 years old and didn't need to be harassed this way. Sincerely. J. W. Marcum- my phone # is 352 454 9079. If you need any additional information, this is where I can be reached. I am very, very, angry over my experience.
GREYHOUND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN
I recently booked a ticket for my cousins to get to my house from NYC. They bus was supposed to leave at 10pm. When the bus didn't show up at 10pm, the workers told them there were no drivers and that the driver would come in 45 minutes. 45 minutes later, no driver, just a buses at the station. They waited until about 1pm. Instead of getting to their destination, they had to book a hotel to stay over night. After reading some comments, I'm seeing a pattern that they tell their workers to say another bus is coming in "45 MINUTES." I'm waiting on my refund and if they do not refund my money, I will call my Credit card to dispute. For those of you who do not know, there is a thing called "chargebacks" and you can dispute these things with your credit card company. They can actually get your money back from Greyhound. It's basically there to protect consumers from bad businesses like this!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE GREYHOUND!!!
Greyhound in Buena Vista, Colorado - Grayhound Inc lets their bus drivers get away with intimadiating woman
On 9/12/12 I purchased a one way ticket for $22.00 in Bakersfield, CA. to go to Los Angeles, CA. And because I cannot be in closed quarters for too long I arrived 1 hour in advance to make sure I got a seat up front which I got. The bus driver boarded just as I finished calling my daughter in law to tell her the bus was about to leave Bakersfield and I should get off. When the bus driver saw the phone in my hand he said oh no lady I don't want anyone sitting up front who's gonna be on the phone. I said I have hung up already Sir. Bus driver #6398 said oh no! Now I do not like your attitude get off my bus! I said no I do not feel well and I have to get to LA. He said then if you do not feel well lady then you should not be on MY BUS so get off now or I will have someone throw you off! I said no I paid for my ticket and I am not getting off. He left saying I am getting security to throw you off then! He left the bus and I could see through the bus's big front window that the Bus driver was just standing inside the station, playing like he was getting security. When Bus driver #6398 returned to the bus he got real close to my face and said lady you had better get off MY BUS or I will throw you off MY BUS myself! I said no I need to get home, he said then you had better get to the back of the bus right now or you will have to get off MY BUS! Not wanting to have to wait for another bus and thinking maybe this driver was determined to have the two front seats both sides unoccupied. I moved to the back of the bus. When I got off the bus I asked the older bus driver for his badge number as he was stroking the hand of a young passenger. He said out loud lady my number is #6309 go right ahead in there and make a complaint and laughed out loud. Thinking that #6309 may just not be this drivers number. I went to the front counter of the Los Angeles Grayhound bus station and spoke to a supervisor by the name of Marcos. When I explained the situation I experienced. I was surprised to see him laugh yes can you believe it he thought it was funny. I showed him the information on my ticket stub and asked him to check the name and employee # of the bus driver who had just drove me into Los Angeles. And just as I thought that driver gave me a false number! Grayhound supervisor Marcos gave me the bus drivers correct # and his last name. I told him I wanted to make a complaint against this driver who is either on drugs or a woman abuser. He handed me a paper and said fill this out and come back tomerrow so a supervisor can sign it. I said I can feel it out right now and can't you sign it. He said no you have to come back tomerrow. Now outside waiting for my cab a lady with a little boy approached me. The lady said it is awful what that driver did to you. He did the same thing to me. Shocked! I said did you try to sit in the front seat too! Yes she said but when he saw me and my son sitting in the front seat he ordered me and my son to get to the back of the bus. He said we could not sit in the front! The lady said she was not on a phone either. She said she went to the back of the bus because she was afraid for her small son. To this day I am still trying to make a complaint to Grayhound, Inc. about the mad bus driver #6398 who Grayhound, Inc. employeed. But I can't get threw to the numbers I am given by Grayhound employees or the #'s they give me are disconnected numbers. I SUGGEST IF YOU ARE A WOMAN TRAVLING ALONE YOU HAD NOT BETTER TAKE A GRAYHOUND BUS AS GRAYHOUND MAKES IT EASY FOR THEIR BUS DRIVERS TO ABUSE WOMAN! Los Angeles, CA.
Bus driver got lost. Missed a connecting bus by 2.5 hours. Left teenaged daughter to fend for herself in downtown Toronto. Tried to reach Customer Service and was talking to Juan in Columbia...like that is going to help. Juan told me there was nothing he could do. Called GH customer Service 4 times now to get this issue rectified and emailed them twice. Have gotten the run around HUGE...no reply to email. Agent did not issue a ticket, went around again and got a ticket. Was told that they would be back to me in 7-10 business days...nothing. Called again and basically I feel like I have been bent over and royally f-----. I would never use Greyhound again.....but now I realize I am not alone.
DO NOT RIDE GREYHOUND!!!!! Especially when purchasing a ticket on-line!! Their website doesn't work so therefore you won't be able to print your ticket and who knows when you'll get your refund. This is not the first time I've had a problem with Greyhound but it will be my last!! When I tried to purchase my ticket on-line and the website didn't work, the customer service lady on the phone tried to convince me my printer was the problem which it wasn't. So I had to purchase another ticket and then I was informed the 1st ticket would be refunded on my card within 14 business days. When I called to check the status of my refund, they could only tell me it's not ready yet, fair enough, so I waited patiently checking my account everyday. As of today, it has been well over 14 business days, still nothing in my account so I called Greyhound Customer Service to ask what was going on. She told me they had extra business days to process my refund because they were off work for a holiday. When I asked why they had so many extra days to process it when they were only off work for a one day holiday she said, "You have a nice day" and hung up on me. I am making these calls from another country, they are expensive. So I had to call them back and wait another 30 min to get someone on the phone to get some answers. When I finally reached someone the second time she said they have already processed it and there is nothing more they have to do on their part. After making phone calls to my bank, it turns out it was never processed. I am still waiting for my refund and I have to file a dispute through the bank. I'm a student, this is the last thing I have time for. Every rep from Greyhound has told me the same thing, "It will be processed within 7-14 business days". This is literally the answer I get to ANY question. After traveling with Greyhound I've noticed that everyone from the 800 #'s, the staff at the stations are all completely incompetent. If Monkeys were trained up one level higher they could put Greyhound workers out of a job. If you're planning a trip and have time I strongly recommend checking for flights and using a shuttle to the airport. On several occasions I've been able to get a cheaper flight rather than riding greyhound (when the ticket has been purchased in advance plenty of time from the departure date). I know that sometimes people need to get somewhere at the last minute so the only option is Greyhound. Just be prepared to be surrounded by white trash *** heads and ghetto black people walking around in pajamas trying to make it to their court cases. If it weren't for these people Greyhound would go out of business not to mention the retard employees and bus drivers. The only descent people you can find riding Greyhound are foreigners who are in total culture shock to see how people are behaving and new people who have never used Greyhound and didn't realize what a nightmare it is. A lot of those stations aren't even safe and don't let the security fool you, don't depend on them if you need help. Once I had to stay overnight at a Dallas station, that same night someone was stabbed, another robbed and I was told at 2 in the afternoon not to stand outside to wait for my ride because I could get kidnapped! At 2 in the afternoon I can't even wait for my ride!! What's the purpose of security? Because of all the people who hang outside waiting for travelers. Greyhound needs to do something about that. They harass everyone who steps outside. Also, if you have to call customer service for anything and you get someone who sounds like they are from the south, DON'T waist your time!! Just hang up the phone and call back and hope you get someone else. If you have enough time I strongly strongly recommend looking up flights, a lot of times they are cheaper or the same price. Especially if you have to travel a long distance, YOU DON'T want to be stuck riding behind these type of people for long periods of time!!!

Greyhound screwed up . Stranded 17 year old.
Bought a ticket 7 days ago for my 17 year old son to travel home from a friends wedding . I told the attendant more than once that I wanted him on the 1:30 bus leaving Langley . i was given a ticket leaving at 7:30 . When I question the attendant again I was told that my son could travel anytime that day. I repeated that he had to work the next morning so he needed to be on the 1:30 and was told it was ok. Just got a call from my son, who along with about 20 other angry passengers are now stranded in Langley until 7:15 this evening because the bus is full. How on earth can this company keep track and properly service customers when they have no clue how many people will be on what bus? WHEN SOMEONE ASKS FOR A TICKET ON THE 1:30 BUS GIVE THEM THE TICKET ON THE 1:30 BUS . Are they in the business of overselling tickets on purpose ? Does anyone working for greyhound even care about the people on the bus. Yikes . Won't be leaving the driving to them anymore.

Greyhound - The most non-customer orientated organization, changing pickup
Greyhound customer-orientated service (not) never ceases to amaze me. I recently purchased an advance ticket to travel to Ottawa from Toronto. Although admittedly the mistake was made on my part, I did not realize that there was a pick up location closer to my own area (Scarborough). Using common sense, it seems that it should be possible to change a customers pick up location to another one along the route, however I was completely surprised when I was told that this was impossible and that I could change the time but not the destination. Now I thought we had a miscommunication here since I was not planning to change my destination at all, in fact I didn't even want to change the schedule or time of my travel. Again I tried to communicate that I wanted to get on at the second pickup instead of the first pickup and again I was told that no this was not possible. Now, I think I should clarify that I do not blame the agent since he probably followed generic answers, however this policy is completely unbelievable. As a result, my choices were to either purchase another ticket or travel downtown for an hour so that I can take a bus back to my area and THEN travel to Ottawa. The lack of flexibility and common sense in this company is completely unbelievable.
Does Greyhound even have an emergency notification plan?
Checked my cellphone this morning after I woke up and had a 2 hour old message from my 20 yr old son saying the greyhound bus he was on overnight from San Jose, CA to Santa Barbara, CA had been in an accident. After no success calling or texting him, I looked on the web and found a radio station in San Luis Obispo that said that a greyhound bus had been hit head on by a DUI driver going the wrong way on the freeway. That was most likely his bus. They said they would update later when they had more info. Still couldn't reach my son so I called greyhound. Their customer assistance line was busy ... tried for 30 minutes with continuous busy signals. Called corporate and they transferred me to the "correct" authorities and have now been on hold for 47:26 ... and counting. Do you think I'm mad at inefficient emergency system ... you betcha!!!!
