bought a 60 day pass to visit family and friends in the United States. It was expensive but I thought it would be cheaper than driving. It takes three times as long to get anywhere on the Greyhound. The employees are dirty and ignorant (especially in the smaller towns)...Read more
Greyhound in Jonesville, Virginia - Sold bus ticket for bus that never arrived.
I bought a one way bus ticket from Greyhound on June 1st for a trip from London, KY to Grand Rapids Michigan. London doesn't have a station so I traveled to Bristol TN to purchase the ticket as there on-line and telephone assistance could not accomplish the task. The bus was to depart the Burger King in London, KY at 8:05 A.M. I arrived at 7:30 A.M. and after waiting two hours, called Greyhounds Customer Service. Reached an individual that could not speak English very well but struggled thru and was told the bus was late. The bus would arrive but he could not tell me when. At 10:30 it was evident that the bus was not coming so my husband drove me to Lexington ,KY the nearest station on the route. What a nightmare. Several severely handicapped children laying on mats on the diry floor of the station. Both bathrooms out of order. People sleeping on the floor. The agent was courteous, but had no solution. Continued to say the bus I was scheduled to take was "LATE" but in reality, it was not coming. The next bus would be at 11:00 P.M. If I wanted to take that bus, I would have to find somewhere else to wait as the station closed from 4PM to 9PM. I asked for a refund and was told NO. I was fortunate in that my husband was still with me with our auto so we aborted the Greyhound nightmare. The State of Kentucky better look into the station in Lexington before they have a National Scandal on their hands. No working toilets? Handicapped children laying on the floor? I will never use Greyhound again, my concern in posting is that someone might send a loved one on this atrocious bus line not knowing how terrible it operates.
My 14 year old son traveled with Greyhound early January 2011 from Athens, AL to Montgomery, AL which is a 2 1/2 hour drive by car. There was a stop in Birmingham and by the time he got to Montgomery he had no bag. The claim process began. I was told they would have 90...Read more
I recently rode a greyhound bus from New York to Portland. The busride was a nightmare. The toilet was clogged and overflowing which resulted in the floor of the bus being covered in fecal matter and other various fluids. The bus driver was a complete *** about it. He...Read more
Greyhound in Laramie, Wyoming - Ticket never arrived
I ordered two tickets from Laramie to Salt Lake City on Feb. 8, 2011 and the date of travel was March 12. I waited ten days and I received nothing from them. I called them four times, and every time they said they had mailed the tickets to me. Since then I have not received anything. I called them but they kept saying they are not responsible because they claimed they had mailed to me. *** service and I will not use their service any more. Another situation is that I did experience the same thing. It is horrible. People, think before using their service and read of what people are experiencing dealing with Greyhound. Consider them. Even watch on youtube.
Greyhound=waste of money
I recently took a one way out of Dayton, Ohio to Chicago, Illinois. It is normally a 5 hour drive. My family waited for my "express bus" to show up to the terminal and became worried after waiting an hour past the scheduled arrival time. First of all, the bus was extremely nasty with paper, used baby pamper and bloodied tissue on the floor. The seats were so nasty and dirty I could literally see the dirt on the seats. Upon alertingt he driver as to the condition of the bus, I was told that the tissue paper and pamper would be removed but nothing else as he has a schedule to keep. I have rode with Greyhound for a number of years and the condition that this bus was in sealed the deal for me. I will no longer waste my money for less than professional service and would advise anyone else not to ride especially if you have a scheduled function to attend as Greyhound is not on time, unprofessional and solely out to make money no matter how unsatisfied the customer may be,
I sent this to Greyhound complaint emails. First of all. The employees of the Nashville Greyhound station are extremely rude. They were extremely short with me when the bus departed without notifying myself and 3 other passengers. They basically complained the whole...Read more
I wrote this letter to Greyhound after a horrible experience in December. It took them 10 weeks to process a response to me, and they just gave me a $20 non-transferable voucher to Greyhound. HAH! I tore that up - never using their business again. You live you...Read more
This is a general complaint about how Greyhound operates. On Sun recently at about 12 Noon I delivered my grand-daughter to the Port Authority in NYC to catch a 12:30PM bus to Syracuse that she'd booked on line. From what she tells me the lines where horrendous. ...Read more

I witnessed violence harassment by border patrol harassment of customers a fight hideous rudness an insane mama grendel of adriver I ended up hysterical forced to wait all night in Dallas because they gave me the wrong schedule.Say children sleeping onn the floor because their bus was late for no good reason These people are bastards!!!! This happened over the periods of 2007-2009 on two different trips I took to New Oeleans as a Katrina survivor trying to get my property straightened out in New Orleans.Also the buses stank of chemical tiolets They were filthy as was the station at Baton Rouge. Stations are always in dangerous neighborhoods.
