My friend was coming to visit me, I called him to let him know that I was going to be in the next town up, the bus was supposed to stop at this stop and I guess he was notified and he did not respond well, when he pulled the bus into the gas station he was quiet verbal...

Greyhound Bus jip me out of $24.00

The ticket agent at the Greyhound Bus station in Detroit, say I could get the senior discount and the Army discount round trip from Detroit to Washington, D.C. I had to buy a one way ticket to Washington and buy a one way ticket from Washington to Detroit. $64.13 each way!!!! In Washington, when I tried to buy my ticket back to Detroit, they told me, I only get one discount not two and I had to pay extra $24.00 to get on the bus back to Detroit!!!! When I came back to Detroit and told the agent they made me pay another $24.00 making it $88.00 for the trip back to Detroit. She told me, they weren't suspose to charge me the $24.00, and go back to Washington for my refund. I tried to talk to the manager, who wasn't in. When I came back to the station to talk to the manager again, she said the ticket agent who I talked to has never worked at that station, and if she did, she dosn't work there anymore!!! She won't give me my $24.00 back!!!!!

NO RESPECT FOR CONSUMERS AT GREYHOUND

For starters every driver except 2 were rude, offensive, and disrespectful. Drivers would not answer any questions or give an explanation as to what was going on. We were delayed 3 hours because 1 driver was late. Which made us miss every connecting bus after that. Every station we stopped at told us a different lie to her us quite and so we would get on the bus. We were due in Akron, Ohio at 4:10. We did not arrive until 9pm. We were given no explanation, no apology, and no consideration for all the trouble, lies, and extra time and money wasted.

Greyhound

I left Tacoma, Wa on Greyhound @ 0855 on 12-30-11 - final destination St George, UT. I was due into St George @ 1425 on 12-31-11. After leaving Boise, Id our bus died in a small town in Idaho. Thankfully we were at a gas station when this happened. We were stranded for 5.5 hrs for replacement bus - no place to sit - so an elderly lady was left on bus to freeze - I gave her my blanket before I went inside to stand with other passengers. We all missed our connecting bus' and I was in for another 5.5 hr wait. I did not reach my destination until 0020 on 1-1-11. When I went to make a complaint - there was NO staff at the Salt Lake station where I was waiting for connection. When the ticket counter people showed up - I was met by Lidia who thought it was really funny that I had been put behind my schedule by 11hrs due to their bus breaking down - no apologies there - she said they didn't compensate for these things as she smirked at me. I got her to give me a number of a Supervisor and soon found out the number was not a working number. She really enjoyed it when I told her I would like another number that actually worked and she said that was all she had and ignored me going onto the next person behind me. I have tried to reach ANYBODY at Greyhound - including a number left on wall with Supervisors pic. No return from msg I left there either. Shame on you Greyhound - I know you aren't going for red carpet treatment with your customers - but would SOME respect for customers be out of line here? Don't worry - FACEBOOK next stop - and beyond. Eff you very much Greyhound. - Dennie J. Di Filippo

The Salt Lake City depot is just terrible with customer service. I lost a bag that was supposed to go there; I kept calling and calling and kept being told the bag was there and it would be put on the first bus to Missoula, Montana.

Well, it never arrived.

Day after day, instead of just saying they didn't have the bag, they kept lying that it was there and would be shipped out. They're all disgusting liars.

Greyhound bus travel - a sad adventure

My daughter and I thought it would be an adventure to take a greyhound bus several states away. Yes, it was an adventure! It started with the bus being an hour late, progressed to there not being any seats left on the bus for us so we got to "(quote by the bus driver)either sit on the floor in the middle of the rows or stand next to the bathroom at the back of the bus". The first stop someone stole the bus driver's laptop which he had left on his seat while we stopped for a break. I again quote the bus driver, "no one is *** going anywhere on this bus until I get my f------ laptop back". So we all had to get off the bus and be searched along with all our bags and were delayed another hour there. Yes...it certainly was an adventure, one never, ever to be had again! Greyhound agreed to refund part of our ticket, but good luck if you try to get a refund, busy signals, holds, claims I never called....I don't think the refund will ever materialize. I know it's a little more - but try Amtrak if you can.

The laptop was found & the guy that had taken it was racked up along side the bus by the "Greyhound security". Everyone is taking pictures as it is starting to get ugly then the thief manages to duck under the security guys big belly and took off running. In hindsight as I look at the pics it was a very memorable trip.

As a longtime Greyhound rider who's encountered more than his share of rude drivers, I just gotta know -- did the driver get his laptop back? I hope not!

Greyhound rip-off

I booked a return trip Toronto-Brantford (on-line) for my son. I was horrified to find out that I was charged an additional $19.00 "Gift Ticket Fee" since I am not the traveller. The time/effort taken to process the on-line ticket is not dependent on WHO is travelling. The fine print probably makes this legitamate, but as a customer I think its' a deliberate "Let's rip-off the customer because we can", and I am horrified. I will NEVER use Greyhound services again and I will tell as many people as I can. Jill B

I ordered a print at home ticket online. When I ordered the ticket, I was not near a printer so I assumed I could reprint the ticket at a later date. It is important to note that you cannot pick these tickets up at the station and that it is "solely the passenger's...
