my daughter is on a bus from Kelowna BC to Ontario, wiper arm broke in Golden BC, they sat for 3 hrs waiting for repair, weather was clear, they missed connecting bus in Calgary and now have to wait 8hrs for another bus. why a bus wasn't sent to pick them up rather...
I use a cane & the driver allowed 2 men to cut in front of me in line. The guy behind me told them they needed to get in the back of the line, but the driver just took their tickets and acted as though he didn't care that I was at the front of the line. This has happened before, but I wasn't using a cane then. I really didn't appreciiate the driver's lack of concern. I travel by Greyhound to Columbus from Toledo once a month despite having been treated badly by the Toledo station's previous manager repeatedly. I expect and demand better service from Greyhound and its employees.
Greyhound despicable customer service
My son purchased a ticket to return to college after Thanksgiving. The bus never showed up and when the bus station tried to call Greyhound they couldn't even get through to their emergency number. They left many kids stranded without rides. The bus station said that the extra buses they needed were never ordered, but they sold tickets to the students anyway!! One person there said the exact same situation happened on the same day last year! Now we have to try and fight to get our refund. How can anyone run a business like this? They should be ashamed of themselves. I will never use Greyhound again.
Greyhound in Newtown, Pennsylvania - Refund Policy is Terrible
This review is written in regards to the horrible customer service Greyhound provides. I purchased a bus ticket for my daughter. we never printed the ticket because the printer we thought we could use was broken. When my daughter showed up to the Greyhound station, and asked if they could print her boarding pass, they said no because they the computer showed that the ticket had been printed. We had to purchase a second ticket. I tried to call the customer assistance line to get a refund but was put on hold and disconnectected. Never again will I use this company.
Greyhound is the WORST!
I dropped my daughters off at the greyhound bus terminal to catch the last bus back to school. The bus was 1 hour late arriving and when it did, they were informed that the bust was full and could not accommodate any additional passengers. The driver "supposedly" called her supervisor and we were informed that another bus would be sent and "should" arrive within 45 minutes. We waited around until 11pm and needless to say, a bus never arrived. The next morning we arrived at the terminal in order to catch the first bus leaving out. The bus arrived on time; however, the driver informed my daugther's that he was not going to their destination (as stated on the schedule) and that they should wait on another bus that would be arriving 45 minutes after he left. The "unscheduled" bus did finally arrive....after my daughter's had been sitting there for over 2 hours. I called customer service and spoke with a "laughable" customer service rep. and her "supervisor" and got nowhere. Needless to say, I will never use greyhound's service again!
Greyhound in Miami, Florida - Horrible Company
This review is written in regards to the horrible customer service Greyhound provides. I purchased a ticket for a friend and printed the ticket for my own records only because at the time of purchase a screen popped up that said "PRINT NOW" - (There was no alert that said if I printed the ticket, I would not be able to print another). The ticket was a 'will call" ticket and when my friend showed up to the Greyhound station they denied my friend access to the bus because I had printed the ticket. Just doesn't make sense! I fly Delta as well as other airlines and you can print as many tickets as you would like. I spent 1 1/2 hours on hold trying to get a hold of a customer service rep. When I finally reached a customer service rep. they told me denied me a refund or the opportunity to use the ticket on a later date.
Greyhound in Johannesburg, Gauteng - Distressed Parent
My Mother booked a ticket with Greyhound. On the day and time of departure the Bus never arrived, left her stranded at the bus stop, only to let her know 2 hours later that the bus should be there at 23H00 at night!!!!!!!!We made other arrangements and NOW GREYHOUND REFUSES to REFUND my Mother. We phoned and spoke to their Customer Complaints with no luck. We faxed a letter, the bus ticket and confirmation of payment. The only feedback that we are getting is to RE-BOOK they do not do Refunds!!!!PLEASE ASSIST AS WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!!!
In early October I took my first and most likely last trip on Greyhound from Las Vegas, NV to Tampa, FL. On the stopover in Amarillo TX the bus arrived on time with a 55 min layover. The 'fun' started when the bus was 1hr 10 min late to the gate(same bus#7268 with my...
Just called the traffic safety number provided on Greyhound's website (800-723-3287). Person answering phone made it very clear that the Drivers Union controls such complaints. Because I was so rattled by the incidents, plus nearly having pneumonia at my second...
Greyhound in Bellevue, Washington - Dangerous drivers, bad attitude of terminal personnel, inadequate scheduling
First leg of trip in September 2011 the driver was using a stick -- A STICK -- to hold down the gas pedal by propping it under the dash. If a cruise control isn't provided, make your own??? Even going down mountains!! Very, very unsafe. Then between Memphis and Nashville the driver was falling asleep! He was swerving toward trucks in the left lane and the guardrail on either side. Every minute or so he would *** the wheel back into the intended lane of travel. Many passengers were upset. Oh, it was in a drenching rain as well. But hey, we lived. Final leg of the trip through Rocky Mountain canyons and roadside rivers, the driver was clearly angry when he got onto the bus. Apparently he was "late for an important date" because he was tailgating on other vehicle's bumpers, one a young lady in a red convertible sports car was literally shoved out of the way at the end of a passing lane. He was passing in areas without clear visibility far enough ahead for a BUS to be safe. The bus was swaying wickedly side-to-side as well as bouncing (more bad shocks) as he escalated speed around corners, even cutting corners on blind curves. Passengers were "praying for safety" as one told me, while everyone was struggling to stay in their seats due to the excessive speed on the mountain riverside curves. NEVER again! Oh, the bus was 2 hours late leaving Denver because "someone forgot to schedule a driver on that line." The driver reporting was from the east coast and did not know the route so we were an additional hour late getting to Amarillo. The good part -- Amarillo had known 3 hours earlier that they were going to need another bus & driver going to OKC but did not call the driver in until the late bus arrived. FIVE hours late getting to OKC because of poor management. (Complete disruption of my purpose for going to OKC due to being 5+ hours late.) According to staff at Amarillo, the "remodeling" has been going on "for a long time" with no finishing the job. A miserable mess... dirty bathrooms, lack of adequate food/fluids. The guy was nice but he was clearly burned out on the complaints and situation there. The only clean places were SLC and Milwaukee. Most terminals are in the worst run-down parts of cities/towns. The one forgivable place was Joplin, MO. That the terminal was still there was a miracle and the staff was caring, considerate, helpful. I purchased a one month pass (that disturbed every driver because it required filling out another form). There is a week remaining but I won't be using it. My life is more valuable.
