Greyhound - Bus Service Review from Atlanta, Georgia

1.1
Details
greyhound bus lines have broken the company to other subsidiaries so you have problems fighting them on complaints and the only people you can talk to from there is customer service which is a joke.I went to Toronto and on the way back the bus left 20minutes late and then got held up at the border for 30minutes.I then catch the connecting bus but when I get to the next connecting bus it has already left and I cannot catch the next but till the next day and no offer of accommodation and the only thing I could do is catch a bus 12miles from my house or stay out over night but the second option is no good because the bus stop were my wife was supposed to pick me up from was told no way I could get left behind and implied that I was sleeping around and that is why I missed it.we rang greyhound on the 12 of july 2016 about this and have been told we get a cheque of $45 as a refund for the problems but when we get the cheque it has the name wrong on it and now they want it mailed back and wait 8weeks to get it back.it is now the 1 of September 2016.great way to treat a person here on the first trip to usa and first time overseas.is there anyone in that *** hole company that can speak english and can do there job properly.how would they like to wait that long to get there pay.oh sorry I forgot you pay *** you get *** workers.I have a bag of peanuts for the monkeys.

well, i was told by clerk athat my bus would be leaving Atlanta Geogia at 9:25 that Friday night,so i left the cancer center early to get there i had use my bank card to pay for the ticket. well, the clerk said i could go to the airport to pick up ticket.when i got there the station their was closed. i sit out in the cold evening waiting didn't know my way around.i was'nt happy than the driver from the cancer center came back and got me because he knew i don't know my way. He took me to the one in the city. the worker was uncaring , i miss the bus at 12:01 am didn't hear them call.the service is bad there. so much is going on at one time the lines are to long, something need to be done.Sick people don't need to be missing their buses.A report is written about it.then i did'nt know they reinstated my to ticket for the whole destination i was going too. i got to Raleigh and payed for a ticket with cash to Richmond.i was afraid because i throught i was in trouble. so out of honesty of my heart the ticket was gotten. now i need my money back or some of it. thanks

This morning at 7:50 AM I completed a round trip bus ride (Detroit/Marietta, GA). To sum it up; there were late departures and arrivals, breakdowns (3 buses broke down in same location on the way to Georgia), destinations changed and bad tempered drivers. But when AC...

Greyhound in Athens, Georgia - Poorly operated business practices

On Saturday August 3rd, I was at the Greyhound Bus Station in Valdosta, GA. I paid $95.50 for a round trip ticket to Valdosta, GA to Jacksonville, FL. The bus supposed to arrive and leave at 10:10 AM. The bus arrive at 11:27 AM. The bus was late by 1 hour and 17 minutes. The next morning the bus didn't leave until 7:20 that morning as oppose to 6:50 AM. Someone has to be accountable here. This was by far the worst service ever. More likely I will not use Greyhound again!!! They have to do better than this.... Or else they will go out of business!!!!! I rate then an F------------------!

Greyhound--Horrible

bought a 60 day pass to visit family and friends in the United States. It was expensive but I thought it would be cheaper than driving. It takes three times as long to get anywhere on the Greyhound. The employees are dirty and ignorant (especially in the smaller towns) it is as if they have absolutely NO supervision. I have seen customer service reps take personal calls on their cell phones while customers were waiting in line. The buses are outdated and filthy. Even after the buses are "Cleaned" there is still dust everywhere and stains on the seats. The air on the bus is a combination of roach spray, air freshener, ***, *** and that blue stuff in the toilet. On the new buses the Internet seldom worked and there were few working outlets. They all had the same "low" air quality. There was midnight entertainment on the bus. There are NO camera on the bus. It is very unsafe. Every night people were stealing or "fist" fighting especially in "urban" areas". I have never seen such beast mentalities in my life. The "Urban" bus drivers were amazingly unprofessional they were either on their cell phones or had head sets on listening to music while driving through heavy traffic. My biggest memory I have is the respiratory and eye infection I picked up while riding the Greyhound. Which had me bedridden for over a week.

Second time in a row I've contracted eye infections riding GH passing through Atlanta on south east runs.

Shame there isn't a website travelers could post contacted diseases or infections after traveling. And with whom and what route was taken and stops/lay overs where made.

That could be a highly useful tool. Not only for public safety but for marketing purposes as well.

The best way to get back at Greyhound is simply never do business with them again. I haven't used their horrible service in over 5 years b/c my last experience with them was awful. Trust me, book ahead and fly or take the train; it's more than worth it.

I bought a ticket online, of course, knowing that they are non-refundable. My trip was canceled due to a snow storm.

At the station, they told me that I could leave and use the tickets later without a problem. Now they are telling me that online tickets have to be...

Do you really believe all these excuses that Greyhound comes up with when a problem arises? These are just stories because they are juggling drivers and not enough busses. Just sell tickets and do what you can do to get the passengers on the road.

It is the same same story all over America in all business. The guys at the top are making obscene amounts of money while using us regular folks to do their dirty work. WAKE UP AMERICA!

:sigh :? :cry :x :(
