My former wife was forced to take a Greyhound bus in Alburquerque to El Paso, TX. on 27 December 2009 at 6:00 pm. It turned to be one of the most horrible experiences she ever had. The previous bus was completely full and the company had to call for another bus and...

Greyhound in Edmonton, Alberta - Grey Hound terrible !

I just took a Greyhound bus trip being the first and last. .The trip was approx. 14 hours long . While the outside temperature was minus -30c,and that is extremley cold. There was NO HEAT on the bus for the whole 14 hr trip. The bus was blowing cold air from the vents. The trip cost more than a plane fare $130.00 I complained to the head office and they were not fazed and offered a measly small credit voucher for another bus.. Terrible ,terrible. Greyhound is terrible and should be investigated by consumer groups. They are fast to take your money and slow to return any of it.

Greyhound could learn from Mexican bus lines

I recently traveled from Green Bay,Wisconsin to Mcallen,Texas on Greyhound buses and will say never again. Leaving the Milwaukee station the bus had break problems and arrived in Chicago too late to make my next connection and had to had for six hours. The bus drivers seemed to keep their own schedule and made up the time by shortening the break stops. From Chicago I arrived in Memphis, I was supposed to have an hour but the bus arrived late so I got there just in time to get yelled at by the new driver for not being at the gate when he announced boarding. The same driver later made a woman cry when she asked how many stops before her stop. I have never met such foul people as the Greyhound drivers. I arrived in Mcallen in the middle of the night, eight hours later than planned and had no way of getting around in the middle of the night. The next morning I continued my trip to Tampico, Mexico on the Futura bus line. What a difference from Greyhound. In Reynosa, Mexico the ticket agent realizing I didn't speak Spanish well walked me out to the proper gate. The bus had the most comfortable reclining seats with leg rests, a video screen that played movies, two bathrooms with sinks and it ran perfectly on time. The trip back to Texas was on a different Mexican line, Oriente, and was just as good. Back in Texas I flew back to Green Bay, I wasn't going to put up with Greyhound again. I can't think of any other business that could operate so poorly and treat it's customers so poorly and remain in business.

Greyhound Bus Fire

On 8.11.03, we got on a broken greyhound bus, the bus caught fire, the bus driver abandoned us on a smoke filled bus, a lady broke her leg trying to escape the fire, we were literally stranded on the highway(actual highway where cars drive out in the open) for over 3 hours, no cops came to help, babies hungry and tired, terrible customer service, luggage lost, no refund, and all we were offered was a free round trip ticket. If the airlines have a passengers bill of rights to protect consumers, what about The Greyhound bus Company????

You are a liar! I was on the exact same bus, the driver did not abandon us!

He ran to the rear of the bus to shut it down manually, because the ignition wires had burned through and he couldn't disable the bus any other way. Plus the cops did show up in about 15 minutes, along with the fire dept. Granted it did take about 2 and a half hours before we were able to get on another bus.

The woman did not break her leg, but she did fall coming off the bus when you shoved her out of your way. You are an ***!

I would recommend legal action. There are laws they have broken, and as a political activist, I think it would be ideal for you to make them accountable.

That luggage claim was denied because they felt they could.

Someone needs to take them to court. In less than thirty minutes I've found over a dozen cases where they've broken a half dozen laws.

Greyhound mesa az

We bought a ticket from mesa to kingman az for our 13 year old son to meet his grandma in kingman. We, along with other passengers sat in mesa waiting for the bus to phoenix that was due to arrive at 10:55am, at about 11:10am, i asked the *** lady who was working, when the bus would be here?, she said it was running late so a shuttle would be taking everyone to phoenix. At 11:45am, i asked again, when would the bus or shuttle be here, she said soon. The shuttle arrived at 11:55am and i mentioned that the bus from phoenix was scheduled to leave at 12:01pm and she told me and everyone else that was expected to get on the 12:01pm bus that not to worry, the bus would be waiting for them. I sent my son on this shuttle, provided by greyhound and he was on his way. About 45 minutes later i get a call from my son, he said, there was no bus in phoenix waiting for them and they told him the next bus would be at 9pm and he would have to wait. Thank god, i wasnt far and was able to go and get him. Greyhound would not refund our money and we are out 75 dollars.
