The experience of riding on the greyhound bus remains a constant over the decades. The buses may now have wi-fi, etc. but he general unpleasant experience has remained locked in time, remaining virtually the same as it was 30 years ago. The rudeness, disrespectfulness...

My friend, that's why I recommend buying a one week Ameripass if you are going to be taking a cross country trip. That way, if a bus isnn't running a certain route due to bad weather, or you're stuclk with the same group of idiots for the entire trip, you can switch it up and go another way to your destination.

Once. I saved myself for being stuck for days in a station, by simply taking an alternative route and that alone was worth the extra $40 or so that my Ameripass cost me.

I cannot imagine what's happening with Greyhound buses. I am currently on a 6:30pm bus from NYC to Mt. Laurel, NJ. Today is Saturday, July 28, 2018. First, the bus was late because, "they did not have a driver for the bus and were waiting to get one." Finally a driver...

You should have stuck out your thumb and hitched you a ride. You probably would have gotten there much sooner and also the person who picked you up would have probably have bought you a meal and given you a few bucks.

You would have been glad the bus broke down. You would have gotten a clean and comfortable ride and would have been able to move around in a clean vehicle.

Greyhound bus 1:00p on Sunday July 8, 2018 from Ithaca, NY to NYC: starting with two obnoxious and unhelpful counter women at the Ithaca bus station. Then the bus: shabby, unclean, elect outlets did not work, a/c was harsh, two metal rings at the bottom of my seat...

You talk about Greyhound being "Slow and Shabby" like it is something unusual, out of the ordinary. What you describe is typical of all Greyhound Buses.

One good thing about riding Greyhound is that it teaches you alot about Geography. You learn about all kinds of little hick towns that you otherwise would have gone an entire lifetime without once hearing or reading about.

greyhound stops at all of these little hick towns and you get to experience a slice of Americana with all of the people you see and meet. I remember once when I was waiting on the greyhound bus to leave at the Cleveland, Ohio bus station. I saw the coal black driver looking off into the distance at something and his facial expressions were saying that he was looking at something extremely weird.

i looked to see what he was looking at and I saw an Amish Family sitting near him and they were all dressed in their traditional outfits. I laughed hysterically because I thought that it was funny that the driver was looking at them like that.

Greyhound - Worst experience ever

My Dad travelled with greyhound from Toronto to Pittsburgh. First of all the driver left him at the next greyhound station and his bags never made it to his final destination. It took 5 days to get his bag back. Never got his other bags back. With over a million phone calls and visits to the greyhound station. Experiences with very rude personnel. I would never recommend greyhound to anyone ever. Take megabus if you can. Very poor customer service with greyhound.
