One time I was riding the Greyhound bus to Los Angeles and we were somewhere out in the desert in either Arizona or California and It was extremely cold on the bus and I was freezing, so I had my jacket pulled up over my face with just my eyes peeking out to try to stay warm. The lady sitting next to me said "Ok, I know that I stink, Ok?" and I didn't think that she stunk but I was just absolutely freezing and shivering.

I have been on many a Greyhound bus that had the same problem that you are experiencing. It makes it even worse when they circulate the air from the bathroom around the bus, and it you smell it and it gets on you from the vents underneath the windows. you know every time that somebody goes because you can smell it being circulated on to you. So no matter how clean you start out your trip with nice clean clothes on, you end up looking and smelling like a vagrant after a very short period of time.

I think that Greyhound could make alot of money if they installed pay showers in it's major stations, where it would be like a truck stop where you can pay like $10 for a shower and your own private toilet to use. Greyhound would make a bundle.

Greyhound - Usually OK - Today Terrible
5 hours? It even caused a verbal fight on the bus between two passengers, one complaining to someone on her phone about the problem, and another passenger asking her to keep it quiet. If this would have been two males - instead of a man and a woman - fists would have been used. These two people were complete strangers to each other. Why Greyhound...

Next time you should be sure to take along some air-freshener like Febreeze that eliminates the other, not just covers it up. Also maybe a can of Lysol Disenfectant for the Bathroom, to spray down the seat you are going to be sitting in, and possibly for the disgusting passenger sitting next to you.

Just make sure that you stay away from the backseat! That's where all of the homeless people who live on the bus sleep and you're most likely to catch crabs or lice there. The whole bus is like that, but especially the back seat!

I agree with you. And there is almost never any toilet paper on there.

Every time that we would have one of those 45 minute meal stops at McDonalds, alot of the passengers would grab a whole bunch of napkins for when they had to go to the bathroom. I've been hurt before when I was in there and the driver suddenly slammed on the breaks making me hit the wall. Also, the bathrooms on Greyhound always look like not only have somebody pissed all over the floor, but all over the walls as well. Icky Nasty and Disgusting.

I'd recommend waiting to use the restroom at one of those 45 minute McDonalds meal breaks. It's alot cleaner.

Once when I was riding the Greyhound on my way to Cheyenne, Wyoming the bus heading into Denver was late and I missed the last connection for the day to Cheyenne. The closed up the bus station for the night and told me i had to wait until the next morning to catch the next bus to Cheyenne.

I had to roam the freezing streets all night, and there was snow and ice everywhere. Before I got thrown out of the station, the security said to me "I hope that you have enough money for a hotel". I couldn't afford to *** away over $100 a night for a hotel (this was about 20 years ago), so I just kept warm by walking around Denver all night, making sure to not to stray very far from the station. I was so glad when it finally was morning and I could go back to the Greyhound Station and get warm and catch my bus to Cheyenne.

Oh, and by the way, The Greyhound from Denver To Cheyenne bus stops at a whole lot of places along the way, taking much much longer than someone driving the 100 miles straight through in an hour and a half. The Greyhound trip from Denver To Cheyenne takes about 3 Hours and it would stop at Longmont, Loveland, Boulder, Greely, Fort collins and a few other places that I can't remember.

One of the drivers was telling another driver riding up front next to him that he "Hated The Denver To Cheyenne Run WITH A PASSION" I would venture to say that if I had stuck out my thumb to hitch a ride to Cheyenne that i probably could have gotten there much quicker than that. I agreed with that driver, that WAS one of the worst Greyhound routes.

Greyhound in Laon, Picardy - Disgusting condition of bus and transit stztion

On April 24 my daughter and I had the misfortune of taking one of your busses from New York City to Utica New York. Ground in dirt around the seat legs and an overpowering stench coming from the toilets that had a lot of customers covering their faces. Unbelievable I also had the misfortune of having to use the facilities. Retched. Overpowering gross gross gross. And then we had to spend more than an hour at the Albany bus station . Filthy! The bathrooms were in a revolting state. They had a cleaner their who swept up the floor and then put out wet floor panels. The only water to hit the floors was by the ticket counter. Never again.

Twenty years ago, i enjoyed riding Greyhound. Bus drivers for the most part were pleasant and some even took a microphone while driving and entertained passengers with stories or gave a review of where we were headed and what we would see. i recently took a trip across...
