Greyhound - Driver falling asleep at the wheel

I was on a bus from San Diego to Phoenix. When I got to Phoenix the bus was delayed approximately 6 hours. I had to get to my destination so I changed my ticket I still was late I got on a bus from Phoenix to El Paso, and the driver was swerving and falling asleep at the wheel. When the driver was called out on his driving he said that it was windy outside so I checked my phone for the weather in that area the winds were only 6 miles per hour. Driver continued swerving and nodding off at the wheel so I called him out on his driving once again as no one else would. The driver took the next exit and stood up in his seat started walking toward the back of the bus saying who was yelling at me and I said that was me. The driver got very rude with me and said that his driving was fine , did I want to drive the bus I said no sir we all just would like to get to our destination safely. So the driver continued on and his driving did not improve. I feel as if I was put on that bus for a reason because it wasn't the bus I was supposed to take as I said I changed my ticket. The drivers driving did not improve I had to stay awake on the bus all the way to El Paso and watch the driver to make sure that his head was not drooping he was still nodding off and he was still swerving and still falling asleep at the wheel and still being very very rude. When we got to our destination in El Paso the driver stood up and said I got you guys here 10 minutes early looked at me and said are you sick I said no I don't know why he was pointing me out but I asked him his name and he ignored me and he continued on saying I never sleep. I have had nothing but problems with Greyhound the last time I took a bus with you the bus driver was rude to me and refused to drive the bus when I treated her the same way causing us to be 3 hours late for our destination. I'm not giving up on this if I'm not contacted by someone soon regarding this issue I will take it as high as I can. I'm not sure but I think the driver was continuing on to San Antonio. I feel as if Greyhound does not care about their customers you don't even search your customers you just look in the bag with a little flashlight somebody could have something on them with what's going on in this world today I would like to feel safe and so would everybody around me please contact me regarding this issue as I am taking it to the highest Authority thank you for your time I really do appreciate it. My name is Brenda coultress I had a bad experience with the bus driver I have a disability with walk and holding on to my luggage and carry on bag he rush me to get on the bus and was not willing to help me put it up on the compartment I do have mental problems I cry and had anxiety I do have a witnessed who heard and saw he's behavior I've been riding with gray hound for years and never had poor Service until today. I was supposed to take a greyhound bus this morning that was set to leave at 5:20 am I took an Uber to greyhound and arrived at 4:00 am they were not open so me and my companion waited outside for an hour until she arrived at 5:00 am When it was time to weight my bag and get my ticket I told the greyhound employee my boyfriends conformation number first then mine she told me my ticket had to be printed which was not true and told me I had to give her 20 in cash she did not ask if I had another confirmation number she just kept telling me I needed 20 in cash i didn't have cash so I ran outside and went looking for an ATM I didn't find one so I returned and begged her to allow me to pay her with a credit card she said it wasn't possible so I desperately asked the people around me if they had 20 But the bus driver had arrived and and I begged him to wait so I could try to get a 20 he completely ignored me told me he had to leave and eventually left. The employee then told my boyfriend after trying to get a new ticket that I gave her the same confirmation number twice and that's why the computer said I had to give her 20 in cash I know that I gave her the right number and I do not understand why she would ask for 20 in cash and not ask if I had a different confirmation number as there were two of us and It was obvious that we couldn't both have the same confirmation number. I was supposed to take a 5:20 am greyhound and now I have to catch one at 11:00 am that is an enormous unnecessary inconvenience, I didn't plan on having to pay to catch a taxi back home , if a taxi didn't randomly show up I would have been stuck at the greyhound station till 11 when the next bus arrived not only did I waste money taking an Uber to the greyhound early this morning but I had to pay for a taxi home and have to catch another Uber back to greyhound at 10 to catch the 11 bus . This is the second time something unnecessary and outright disrespectful has happened to me because of the same greyhound employee I am completely disgusted by the lack of morality and respect that the employee showed and after my trip today I do not plan on ever taking a greyhound again I do not want a 20 greyhound voucher I want to be compensated for my expenses.

Canadian greyhound customer. I also would give negative rating if I was able to. In the past couple months I have used the greyhound from petawawa a military town to Ottawa and my spouse used it once as well. It's a 2 hour and 40 min bus ride depending on weather. I am military and taking a engineering program on the weekends at the college in Ottawa. The last 3 times I have taken this bus it was 2 plus hours late I missed classes and appointments but that's not there issue cause weather I understand that. My issue is with the current trip I am on right now. Same locations but this time I was 4 mins late from the scheduled time for the bus to depart when I ran to the bus I was seeing people get back on after having a smoke so not late at all. I was met with a rude bus driver who told me to hurry up and go get my ticket cause I had purchased it online and needed to pick it up at willcall. I go inside and I almost thought that the driver was going to leave without me. The cashier at the store in the bus station told me to wait cause she was at the back doing something and I'm like I need my ticket. They never ask for the willcall word that you put in when you purchase a ticket online so they might as well just get rid of that step I give her my confirmation number after I look it up on my phone. She enters it wrong. I give her my phone it takes like 5 mins to print off the ticket and the entire time she was rude. She was telling me that because she came from the back of the store to get my ticket she was doing me a favour, so that's awesome now doing your job is considered a favour to customers. I guess that may be how things work when the company already has the money cause it's purchased online. I went back to the bus and the driver tells me to hurry up and sit down that I am holding up the bus now. I have been multiple hours late every time I have take this bus and he's giving me attitude about being 5 mins late. I would have been more vocal but I needed to get to the college in Ottawa. I don't understand the attitude. Is it because the bus driver has some superiority complex or is it because I must be low class cause I am taking a bus I'm not sure but that is how the driver and the cashier came across. I was in the military for 11 years and am now 35 talking an advanced diploma for civil engineering I own my home have multiple cars and a son and daughter I take the bus cause I can get to the destination I need to and stay at a hotel and then commute back with a friend on Sunday. But I have to have a disagreement with another grown man cause I was a couple mins late after dealing with a rude customer service employee at the cash and enduring multiple trips that were hours late. I will be looking hard at other ways to travel. I feel like greyhound doesn't appreciate its cusomers. In a sense I get the impression they figure they can treat people however they want cause if we are on a bus then we don't have another alternative. That's just a horrible attitude for a company to have.

I been takeing grayhound buses for 5 years had other problems before but tried to deal with it always takeing piñatas for my grandkids before last night tried to board my bus bus driver told me to put on bottom wich i already knew. Baggage guy says cant take piñata has to be in box trabbleing for 5 years it suprissed me he tells me go inside an see if i can get a tickett for it when im inside bus driver calls counter and tells them i need get in bus or his living so i tell them where at 1045pm where am im goin to get a box bus driver and baggage guy get my stuff of the bus live it in a puddle of water and live me there so i get locked in where the buses are because now they closed down the building and i have no where to go no extra money to change tickett it amazeinghow they make up rules as they go
