I was supposed to take a greyhound bus this morning that was set to leave at 5:20 am I took an Uber to greyhound and arrived at 4:00 am they were not open so me and my companion waited outside for an hour until she arrived at 5:00 am When it was time to weight my bag and get my ticket I told the greyhound employee my boyfriends conformation number first then mine she told me my ticket had to be printed which was not true and told me I had to give her 20 in cash she did not ask if I had another confirmation number she just kept telling me I needed 20 in cash i didn't have cash so I ran outside and went looking for an ATM I didn't find one so I returned and begged her to allow me to pay her with a credit card she said it wasn't possible so I desperately asked the people around me if they had 20 But the bus driver had arrived and and I begged him to wait so I could try to get a 20 he completely ignored me told me he had to leave and eventually left. The employee then told my boyfriend after trying to get a new ticket that I gave her the same confirmation number twice and that's why the computer said I had to give her 20 in cash I know that I gave her the right number and I do not understand why she would ask for 20 in cash and not ask if I had a different confirmation number as there were two of us and It was obvious that we couldn't both have the same confirmation number. I was supposed to take a 5:20 am greyhound and now I have to catch one at 11:00 am that is an enormous unnecessary inconvenience, I didn't plan on having to pay to catch a taxi back home , if a taxi didn't randomly show up I would have been stuck at the greyhound station till 11 when the next bus arrived not only did I waste money taking an Uber to the greyhound early this morning but I had to pay for a taxi home and have to catch another Uber back to greyhound at 10 to catch the 11 bus . This is the second time something unnecessary and outright disrespectful has happened to me because of the same greyhound employee I am completely disgusted by the lack of morality and respect that the employee showed and after my trip today I do not plan on ever taking a greyhound again I do not want a 20 greyhound voucher I want to be compensated for my expenses.

Details
Canadian greyhound customer. I also would give negative rating if I was able to. In the past couple months I have used the greyhound from petawawa a military town to Ottawa and my spouse used it once as well. It's a 2 hour and 40 min bus ride depending on weather. I am military and taking a engineering program on the weekends at the college in Ottawa. The last 3 times I have taken this bus it was 2 plus hours late I missed classes and appointments but that's not there issue cause weather I understand that. My issue is with the current trip I am on right now. Same locations but this time I was 4 mins late from the scheduled time for the bus to depart when I ran to the bus I was seeing people get back on after having a smoke so not late at all. I was met with a rude bus driver who told me to hurry up and go get my ticket cause I had purchased it online and needed to pick it up at willcall. I go inside and I almost thought that the driver was going to leave without me. The cashier at the store in the bus station told me to wait cause she was at the back doing something and I'm like I need my ticket. They never ask for the willcall word that you put in when you purchase a ticket online so they might as well just get rid of that step I give her my confirmation number after I look it up on my phone. She enters it wrong. I give her my phone it takes like 5 mins to print off the ticket and the entire time she was rude. She was telling me that because she came from the back of the store to get my ticket she was doing me a favour, so that's awesome now doing your job is considered a favour to customers. I guess that may be how things work when the company already has the money cause it's purchased online. I went back to the bus and the driver tells me to hurry up and sit down that I am holding up the bus now. I have been multiple hours late every time I have take this bus and he's giving me attitude about being 5 mins late. I would have been more vocal but I needed to get to the college in Ottawa. I don't understand the attitude. Is it because the bus driver has some superiority complex or is it because I must be low class cause I am taking a bus I'm not sure but that is how the driver and the cashier came across. I was in the military for 11 years and am now 35 talking an advanced diploma for civil engineering I own my home have multiple cars and a son and daughter I take the bus cause I can get to the destination I need to and stay at a hotel and then commute back with a friend on Sunday. But I have to have a disagreement with another grown man cause I was a couple mins late after dealing with a rude customer service employee at the cash and enduring multiple trips that were hours late. I will be looking hard at other ways to travel. I feel like greyhound doesn't appreciate its cusomers. In a sense I get the impression they figure they can treat people however they want cause if we are on a bus then we don't have another alternative. That's just a horrible attitude for a company to have.

I been takeing grayhound buses for 5 years had other problems before but tried to deal with it always takeing piñatas for my grandkids before last night tried to board my bus bus driver told me to put on bottom wich i already knew. Baggage guy says cant take piñata has to be in box trabbleing for 5 years it suprissed me he tells me go inside an see if i can get a tickett for it when im inside bus driver calls counter and tells them i need get in bus or his living so i tell them where at 1045pm where am im goin to get a box bus driver and baggage guy get my stuff of the bus live it in a puddle of water and live me there so i get locked in where the buses are because now they closed down the building and i have no where to go no extra money to change tickett it amazeinghow they make up rules as they go

You are better off eating a *** sandwich,than to expect a decent experience riding grey hound. The drivers need a lesson in humility,customer service and human decency ... so does the management .They must practice being tool bag *** in front of the mirror. They are quite good at it, especially to frail senior citizens. They must employ ex cons and the bi-polar mildly retarded. What a *** show. And to top it off... the outsource jobs to India and Pakistan. Way to go. Please allow me ten minutes with the driver and I promise, he will have a brand new smiling disposition when I knock his head off his *** shoulders.

4th December, Sunday, 5:30 AM, San Antonio, To Houston. The worst and most rude behavior which a driver can do to passengers. Greyhound should really consider what kind of drivers its hiring. The female driver was rude and strict on every step. While the bus was almost empty, she asked my family (2 female overseas visitors) rudely to put the phone on silent, and that she didn't want to see any light or hear any noise, and that no calls should be made. After a few hours she stopped by at a gas station, and told that you have exactly 10 minutes if you want to use rest room, if you don't get in the bus in 10 minutes, I will leave. On reaching Houston, she said that it was Dallas, wow probably she was drunk .........

So for the first time in my life, I was moving out of state, from California to Colorado. Specifically Anaheim to Greeley. However I had not even got on the bus when problems began to arise. My bus driver was over an hour late, I was supposed to leave at 7:30, we did not leave until 8:40. Not only was he an hour late, but he came into the bus depot from the wrong direction causing much trouble for us to leave. From then on things only got worse, somehow, he managed to have us leave late from EVERY single stop we made. Leave at 12:30? We didn't get out until 1:10. Not only that but due to a mess up on greyhounds part, we had to take an extra stop cause that's what we needed. So finally I make it to Las Vegas, which should be an half hour, however due to the fact that we were and hour and 30 minutes late, my bus left. The next bus didn't come until 1:30 in the morning, while it was only 2:30 in the afternoon. So I was stuck for the entire day, at a bus depot with only a dollar and 87 cents with me in Vegas. However there is one saving grace. One of the workers helped me out by paying for whatever food and drink I needed, helping make the situation a little better. While I did have fun in Vegas it doesn't stop the absolute horrid conditions of how I had to spend the night. 1:30 finally rolls around, and only an hour later, a woman throws up in the front. And due to it being a "Bio hazard" We nearly had to wait another three hours for another bus. However our driver went and got a mop and bleach and cleaned it. So I finally arrived in Denver, almost an entire day late, well guess what? The next lay over wouldn't be until the next day. Luckily I had my grandmother pick me up. However the entire experience was horrible, Greyhound is the absolute worst bus. I'd rather ride a bike back to California then EVER get on one of those buses again. 0/10 Absolute worst of the worst. Avoid at ALL costs!!!

Actually, I used to live in Burlington, Vermont and would make many very long cross-country trips starting from there. the Vermont Transit Lines Buses were Luxurious compared the nasty *** Greyhound buses that I would have to transfer to in Albany.

When I would get to Albany, I would rush to get first place in line, but was disappointed when the bus that I was waiting for heading west was already filled to Sardine City capacity, as it had originated in Boston or New York City. The Buses out of Burlington are much nicer than Greyhound is.

Hi, My Name Is Maria Jaramillo I want to complained about a Bus Driver that has been rude to me, this morning when it was time for me to get on the truck which it was schedule to departure at 9:05am i was on the bus already when my husband was trying to give me a cup of coffee that i left and my bag, i politely ask him to just get my stuff and he didn't wanted to do it, i asked him a second time and he right away start to intimidate me telling me that he was going to leave me in Fresno, finally my husband was able to gave me my stuff but the driver was very rude to me, i don't speak English very well, so I'm getting help writing this email, my husband has been trying to call me just to see how we are doing and the driver ha told me he doesn't want noises in the bus? and told us to not use phones.

Today their bus from San Fernando to SFO scheduled to leave at 6:20 arrived almost 3 hours late but no information provided by the greyhound. Also when we got at the bus station at San Fernando valley, the driver of bus # 86520 was so rude. I stepped into the bus to asked her if this was the right bus but she rudely said " get off the bus".
