Greyhound - Bus Service Review from Springfield, Missouri

2.1
Details
I had an extremely uncomfortable experience this trip. Three legs of my trip have been crammed full which should not be allowed. I am extremely pissed at the sorry state of room on these buses. If my final leg is crammed full and I have no room I am going to demand a full refund and file a complaint with the BBB. They need to quit seeing how full they can cram these buses. Especially on overnight trips. We are people not sardines you losers.

Greyhound - Terrible run organization

From the WEB site to customer service the company is definitely not in the business to make money. When I was young I traveled by Greyhound and was usually pleased with the experience. I recently used the service twice because the were the only transportation to and from where I needed to go. When trying to get additional information about where to find the bus stop at the St. Louis airport by email no one every responded. Call the customer service phone number and was on hold for over 35 minutes. What a disappointment! Terrible experience in every respect. Next time I will spent a few more dollars and rent a car. I will never use Greyhound again.

Greyhound - GREY HOUND ***

Grey hound over booked on purpose and took my $200.00. I arrived to Grey hound bus station in Columbia Missouri a hour before my bus was due to *** like the website stated to do. When I arrived to the bus station it was un organized and chaotic. There was a crowd of people outside as well as inside. I found the what seemed to be the information desk. A heavier set hispanic lady and a heavier set older white lady sat at the counter. I waited behind a lady that was telling them how she had no way to go to Saint Louis to try and catch the next bus that her "old truck" wasn't going to make it. They told her too bad and she sat down. I walked up to the counter and stated to the women that I had never rode the bus before and wasn't quiet sure what I was supposed to do. The white lady asked me where I was going I told her Columbia to Saint Louis, Saint Louis to Clarksville TN. She stated "wrong answer." My reaction was "excuse me?" The lady then stated "wrong answer" informing me that the bus had been over booked by at lease 15 people and they were all currently at the station and did not have a seat on the bus, including myself. The lady also stated that the bus was running late like always and even if I did have a seat it I wouldn't make my second bus that took me to Clarksville, TN. The lady told me my only option was to try and drive to Saint Louis and "hope" to have a seat on that bus but I would have to hurry because that bus doesn't run on schdule either. Then the lady informed me that I would probably be in the same boat getting home and get stranded in Clarksville, TN. I asked her how this could happen since I purchased my ticket online a month ago and paid $200. She told me that the Greyhound.com was trying to put the bus statin in Columbia out of buisness and that the tickets sold in the actual station were the only ones guarenteed a seat due to thats the only way to keep station in business and needed, and that they knew the station/website was over selling tickets and that they do it all the time. So I asked the lady if she was going to give me my $200 back so I can find an alternative way due to it being the holidays and I had bought my ticket a month in advance? She stated no that I needed to call the number she wrote down and that Greyhound would refund my money and it would probably take a long time. My first and last experience of the Grey hound service is very un organized and a scandal. I hope the mega bus puts grey hound out of business.
