One time I was riding the Greyhound bus to Los Angeles and we were somewhere out in the desert in either Arizona or California and It was extremely cold on the bus and I was freezing, so I had my jacket pulled up over my face with just my eyes peeking out to try to stay warm. The lady sitting next to me said "Ok, I know that I stink, Ok?" and I didn't think that she stunk but I was just absolutely freezing and shivering.

I have been on many a Greyhound bus that had the same problem that you are experiencing. It makes it even worse when they circulate the air from the bathroom around the bus, and it you smell it and it gets on you from the vents underneath the windows. you know every time that somebody goes because you can smell it being circulated on to you. So no matter how clean you start out your trip with nice clean clothes on, you end up looking and smelling like a vagrant after a very short period of time.

I think that Greyhound could make alot of money if they installed pay showers in it's major stations, where it would be like a truck stop where you can pay like $10 for a shower and your own private toilet to use. Greyhound would make a bundle.

my mama said that back in the 1950's when she would ride the bus that she used to climb up into the overhead bins and sleep up there. she said that she went inside the terminal and bought a tuna fish sandwich that was priced very high.

Back in the 80's she said that it was like paying $5 in today's money. She said that it was two pieces of cheap wonder bread with a very extremely thin spreading of tuna fish on it.

Next time you should be sure to take along some air-freshener like Febreeze that eliminates the other, not just covers it up. Also maybe a can of Lysol Disenfectant for the Bathroom, to spray down the seat you are going to be sitting in, and possibly for the disgusting passenger sitting next to you.

Maybe they should cut out all of those "45 minute meal stops at McDonalds". That would save an hour off of the trip right there.

And they should probably cut out all of the smoking breaks too. And eliminate alot of those little hick towns that they always stop at where nobody gets on or off the bus.

My email to Greyhound that bounced back as undeliverable ... I am writing to inform you on how appalled and disappointed I am with Greyhound Bus Lines customer service - phone and how passengers were treated. My mother, a senior citizen, was scheduled to depart New York at 11 am to travel to Richmond, VA arriving at 6:30pm. The original bus never arrived/passengers never got any notice until the dispatcher finally got them a different bus that arrived/left around 1:30pm, 2 and 1/2 hours later than scheduled. Then only to have an unscheduled stop in NJ at 3pm, left without a driver for over 2 hours!!!! No notice except that an alternate driver from Philadelphia was coming. This is ridiculous!! No announcements to the passengers or any explanation?? I call customer service to figure out what couldve possibly gone wrong and yet again, I am told that they DO NOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION?? And when someone could finally give me some glimpse of information, I was told that the bus will now arrive at 10:30pm . 4 hours later than expected!!! A total of nearly 12 hours to get somewhere in 6 hours???? What kind of business are you running here??? This is unacceptable. The customer complaint representative informed me that compensation would only be guaranteed if the customer completed their journey!! For what? To deal with the same aggravation round trip?! I will tell everyone that I know to NEVER UTILIZE GREYHOUND BUS LINES EVER!!! Your company does not care about its customers nor anyone for that matter and that you are just there for the bottom line to rape customers of their hard earned money for UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE!!! Thank you for ruining my mothers first experience with Greyhound. You have lost a customer for ever!!

Greyhound in New York, New York - Horrible service ever!

I bought the ticket but realized I would not need it, so I tried to get refund. First of all, their refund system is so annoying. I thought I could get refund online or phone call, but they asked me to mail it to Dallas office, and the person on the phone was so unfriendly and somehow annoyed to deal with me. It was annoying that I had to mail (and pay extra money for mailing!!), but I did it anyway because the ticket was expensive and worth getting refund. I attached my actual ticket and letter that indicating my request for refund and my contact information, as they state on their website. I used the tracking mailing, so I know that my mail was delivered soon after (about 5 days) to their office. And I have been waiting for about a month, and I do not hear anything from them and get no refund. So I just called them, but the guy on the phone was so useless! I have the picture of my ticket, so I told him what the confirmation number was, and he said he could not find any information coming up. He also asked my name, I told him my name but not how to spell my name. My name is not common, so general people ask how to spell, but he did not confirm it. So I just assume he put whatever the spell he thought and saying no information found. Of course not if you enter wrong name! He finally explained they may be taking a while dealing with all refund so I just need to wait. But I have been waiting almost a month and they never opened my mail or enter info into the system!? I really doubt that I will get refund ever. Even though I take my time preparing for mailing and putting extra money for tracking mail, it worth nothing and I just lost money! They are such thieve! Never gonna use this horrible service again.

The bus smeeled like POO all the trip up from NY to Boston. There were people talking at their phones and the driver did NOT say anything about that, acting like it was normal to talk at that volume inside a bus. Incredible. I'm so pissed off and not satisfied about the service. My dog would have driven better. And, I've to point that out, I don't own a dog. Thumbs straight down

Arrival in NYC at 11:00pm, when scheduled arrival from Pittsburgh was 8:00pm. There was no explanation given. Stop times were extended (e.g. 10 minutes announced by driver became 35 minutes). I had important plans based on my return time and would at least have appreciated some explanation for why we left Pittsburgh at 11:30 as opposed to the scheduled 10:20 time and delays persisted throughout the trip.
